Reviews

After playing around half an hour of gameplay I can say, that for the purpose of educating unhealthy individuals, this game does in fact have a good level of educational knowledge for the player to learn from whilst also keeping the fun aspect of the game strongly imbedded throughout. In the gameplay, the subtle use of differing foods as energy sources serves as an active form of education whilst making them actively think about the food in which they would intake during this form of exercise.

Despite being a very quickly made game, I would say that the gameplay elements are definitely there to make this a fun game. The overall gameplay is simple but provides a strongly interactive and even challenging form of play, and this works to get the player engaged in what is going on around them. That benefits the goal of this game as it can make them think and strategically choose what food items they consume as a player, and even in the real world, to help them achieve the best score.

Some improvements could be made to make it a more direct learning experience, beyond that than the simple food mechanic which increases the energy. This could be through the addition of some new mechanics, such as overall health/wellbeing, etc., this would both increase the interactivity of the game for the player but also increase the level of learning which could be achieved.

Overall, I would definitely say that as a high-fidelity prototype this game does meet the intended purpose of its creation. Improvements can be made towards more direct learning approaches; however, this game does educate on the intended topic.

For a high-fidelity prototype I would give this game: ☆☆☆☆
